Good weather, half a dozen cars in the GBS Owners area when I arrived mid morning - double that around lunchtime and plenty of comparing notes. The commonality is theres no single way, no right/correct way, to complete a Zero - all the same base cars, all slightly modified/customised along the way and all perfectly acceptable examples.
My head turned again by the Hawk Cars AC Ace replica - this shape pre Cobra - very nice.
I need to make a decision on motor - I'm not really attracted to the pre emissions approach to engine/donor selection - but is that sacrilege on a replica? - is there a modern straight 6? - or is it ok to replicate the look and put a more modern 4 pot engine under the bonnet?
This front end - love it, classic lines and a sort of semi grumpy 'face' and smooth curves over the rear wheel arches, the post IVA only 'chip dicer' style grille.
No roof as standard... perfect
Imagine driving that over the Pyrenees and my favourite D918!
Could I build another car?
